Informasjonsmateriell om mishandlingsbestemmelsen

UDI_plakat-mishandlingsbestemmelsen-1Alle har rett til et liv uten frykt for vold og trusler. Hvis du eller barna dine blir mishandlet, kan du få en selvstendig oppholdstillatelse. Du trenger ikke bli i forholdet fordi du er redd for å miste oppholdstillatelsen i Norge. Utlendingsdirektoratet (UDI) har laget informasjonsmateriell om mishandlingsbestemmelsen i utlendingsloven, slik at alle som trenger det skal få den informasjonen de trenger.

Informasjonen fra UDI skal bidra til at personer som har fått oppholdstillatelse i familieinnvandring og som opplever vold i nære relasjoner kjenner til sine rettigheter. Den såkalte mishandlingsbestemmelsen (utlendingsloven § 53 første ledd bokstav b) skal sikre at personer som blir mishandlet i samlivet ikke trenger å bli i forholdet av frykt for å miste oppholdstillatelsen i Norge.

Informasjonsmateriellet kan hentes fra denne nettsiden www.udi.no/vold og består av følgende deler:

  • En plakat i A4 og A3-format om mishandlingsbestemmelsen.
  • En brosjyre om mishandlingsbestemmelsen rettet både til de voldsutsatte og til hjelperne deres, som ansatte på krisesentre, advokater osv og et e-læringskurs. Brosjyren inneholder en oversikt over hva som skal til for å få tillatelse etter mishandlingsbestemmelsen, hva som ligger i begrepet mishandling i utlendingslovens forstand, og hvilke andre alternative tillatelser som finnes, for eksempel gjenforening med barn.

Materiellet er oversatt til engelsk, arabisk, farsi, fransk, russisk, somali, tagalog, thai og urdu.
